Our story
We hold the distinction of being both the First Filipino Mission and the First Filipino Baptist Church not only in the city of Jacksonville but also in the State of Florida. Our founder, J.W. Wynn, established the church in 1969 as a Filipino Mission of Westside Baptist Church.
Led by Pastor Edwin Roxas.
Vision
First Filipino Baptist Church exists to follow the Great Commission of making disciples by reaching out to every people in the greater Jacksonville area and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit until the coming of the King of kings to the glory of God. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Mission
First Filipino Baptist Church desires to declare the gospel of Christ; to develop those who follow Him; to deepen their involvement in His Body through devotion to God and His word; and to display His glory in Jacksonville and abroad.
